It's been a while and I'm not back with a proper update now either I'm afraid!
This is in part due to my camera (still) being in need of repair. This won't be a problem soon as I am hopefully coming into a second hand dreaded smartphone in a few days. However, I am also devoting as much of my 'spare time' (har har) to trying to make some artwork after a very long break, and have rebooted my art blog here (although that has not seen a lot of action either, but it shall!). This has been a really exciting and inspiring couple of weeks and I feel very positive about the future of this project, however it also means I have very little time for making and fixing things around the house and chronicling our daily life. Not to say I will never update this blog again, I will, but at the minute my energies are elsewhere and I don't want to spread myself too thin. So that is my excuse! I hope to update properly soon with something. Hwyl!!

Glass houses and the West Wales answer to Venus de Milo?
Well it's been quite a while since the last update. This is in part due to my camera needing fixing - I have been taking films but they take time to review and edit, time which I don't have, which brings me to my other reason for absence: I am busy!
I have started trying to make it to a few of the groups in the village and have been really enjoying myself - especially the drawing class as it gives me a reason to pick up a pencil and just draw, something that I haven't done in several years. Actually I feel something creative waking up within me, and I'm sure whatever it is is being nurtured by going to the classes, and also taking videos once again. I am excited that as well as cooking, cleaning and mothering, there are also plans for work rattling around in my head, something else that I haven't really felt since 2014 when I set down my metaphorical paintbrush. So motivated am I that I have kick started my old art blog My Room in The House - watch this space.
Moving on, my greenhouse is here, it's up, and it has cornichons planted in it. I intend to grow more next year, this year is about playing and settling in, so cornichons may just do.
I went for a fabulous walk this morning, a good hour up the hill (only half an hour back!) It seems insane that Ivy and I don't go out for walks every day since moving to (I think) one of the most beautiful spots in the world. We used to walk all the time in Swansea! I think my poor tired sluggish body will appreciate the movement as well. I took a few videos today but would like to go through and edit before posting anything.
I won't bother trying to catch up on everything we've been up to, this and that, pottering about. We had a trip to Swansea for dinner with friends on Monday, a trip to Gower on Sunday for a car boot and to see another friend, and more friends visiting on Saturday too. We have missed a couple of groups this week as Ivy hasn't been sleeping with her teeth coming through. Hopefully not for too much longer. Anyway, off to be a Mum now, hopefully something to show soon. Hwyl!
