Cake and dresses

Morning all, the weather is looking promising for a nice day today, perhaps we'll even have a potter around the garden.
It was a lovely weekend, my mum visited for a belated tea party for wills birthday. I made many deserts, but thankfully managed to palm off leftovers on my mum when she left!
I feel that I'm quite getting the hang of gluten free cooking and baking now in a way that I didn't manage before. A lot still to learn  but I can make a cake and that's important! Today is of course pancake day and I'll be taking full advantage of the opportunity (rule??) to eat pancakes for every meal.
There has been a little bit of bad news this week, which is that the baby and toddler group in the village is going to be opening for just one day a week now. The people who run it have been doing so for 5 years and are fed up of it. It make me sad because without it I'd know hardly anyone in the village, and I know that's true for a lot of mums who haven't grown up hereI.  will be taking it over in September as long as someone else is able to share it with me, but I just have too much on my plate to take it on at the moment.
Good news is that I have found a church a little way out from here in Llandybie, but which promises to be welcoming and busy  We are planning to visit this weekend so hopefully that turns out to be a nice thing. I feel a little bit of a traitor going somewhere other than my local church, but it's just not quite right for us.
I have been selling old things on ebay still which has paid for everything I have bought from ebay to smarten up my wardrobe! I went through everything while my mum was visiting so that she could take home anything she wanted. I now have about 6 skirts, 6 cardigans, 8 tops (though I will replace some once I find things I like better)  a couple of jumpers (I'd really like to knit any more jumpers I add - harhar) and one pair of trousers, well treggings really..I'm getting rid of all of my trousers and jeans as I hate wearing them. I have dungarees for heavy garden work. I also have a small handful of posh dresses for parties and weddings  I shouldn't need to buy any more. Not exactly a capsule wardrobe, but I went through everything  and everything can be worn with at least 2 or 3 other things so it is practical, and too few clothes wouldn't work for me as I'm so often covered in porridge, bogies, banana etc.
There's not much else going on here. Just waiting impatiently for warmer weather. I had a dream about harvesting cucumbers yesterday. Toodles
